1930s Pleated Shorts - Ecru Natural Fibre

Our splendid reproduction shorts now available in cotton/rami natural fibre blend and with authentic button fastening.

Shorts are pleated throughout (3 on each side - including the centre front gusset pleat) and are the forerunner design favoured for girls' school gym shorts - nostalgic and sweet, these shorts are a perfect addition to any 30s and 40s vintage fan wardrobe and great for summer! 

These fit on the natural waist and have 4 button side fastening - a lovely asymetric detail.

Fabric is 70% rami 30% cotton
*Ramie is a renewable plant fibre that's derived from a plant in the nettle family and has a similar look/feel to linen. It is biodegradable, making it sustainable and is one of the strongest natural fibres.

These have been painstakingly researched and are adapted from an original 1930s pattern with further inspiration taken from an original pair of ladies tennis shorts.
